Alterations



Alteration Policies - Alteration appointments may be scheduled at the Bridal Suite. Seamstresses are not Bridal Suite employees. Gowns must be paid for in full prior to setting an alteration appointment. Additionally, the Bridal Suite can provide a list of local seamstresses that may be able to offer a more diverse schedule.

Alterations are scheduled through the Bridal Suite approximately 6 weeks in advance of the event. Women who dramatically change size before their gown arrives should immediately notify the Bridal Suite to make additional arrangements. Clients are asked to call the seamstress directly 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Clients that do not show for their scheduled appointment and do not call, may not be accommodated in the future. Appointments made within 6 weeks from the wear date are at the discretion of the seamstress.

Pick-up for gowns is typically scheduled the week before the event. Unaltered gowns must be tried on with a senior Bridal Suite consultant. Taking any item from the Bridal Suite indicates your acceptance and approval of the item (altered or unaltered). Payment for alterations is made directly to the seamstress in the form of check or cash only. Visit The Knot for more advice on your alterations.
